4 months old!

This has been a month full of changes for little Mateo. He started the month holding his fist out all the time. Usually his right one... I wondered why until Stacie pointed out he's probably a righty. He started batting his toys and then on my birthday started opening his fingers and touching the toys...now he is fully grasping toys. It's nice that he can entertain himself a little more. His personality is still changing and he is becoming a super mellow baby... loves to just sit on my lap and look around. Poor little guy got his first illness... a cold that lasted a week and a half and gave him his first ear infection. He is doing much better now and will go in for his 4 month appointment at the end of the week - more shots. Poor guy :(

He loves the sound of his voice and loves to yell and "sing" with mommy. He has also decided the world is much too exciting a place for sleep... he cat naps throughout the day. I still have trouble getting him to sleep in his bed during the day - but by about 7pm he knocks out. Still not sleeping through the night. He gets up about 11pm and 4am.

He ate his first rice cereal the other night - we mixed it with so much breastmilk I don't think he could tell the difference. I wish I could feed it to him in a bottle, but the last time we tried the bottle he didn't want any part of that. He is exclusively a breast man. He ate it with his medicine dropper.

Current stats: 17lbs 4 oz... 26 & 3/4 inches long. Big healthy boy! I can't believe my 4 month old is wearing 9 month sized clothes.

Greeting my cousins, Christian and Gabriel, on Thanksgiving. Like my tie?!?! Mommy sings "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" every time she puts this sweater on me.

Modeling our new chocolate brown sofa's. Don't they look comfy?
