Well, it's official. I quit my job. I went in for my exit interview yesterday. After researching daycares and strugging with the thought of leaving Mateo to go back to work, we put our heads together and figured out that we can afford for me to be a stay at home mom. I gave notice last week. It was bittersweet. I have been with Veeco for 7 years now. There are almost 300 employees there and I know almost everyone by name. I LOVED my job and I will dearly miss it and everyone there. Pretty awesome that my 30th birthday is the first official day as a stay-at-home mom. I am thrilled to be able to stay at home with this cute little guy and watch all his milestones and see him grow. I am lucky, lucky... and surprisingly happy to be 30!! Life is good :)
and is it just me or does time move at hyper speed once you graduate high school. Was that really 12 years ago? Am I really 30 already? Will time slow down? I'm thinking not...

After I had Emma I also stopped working. I loved being a teacher, but there is nothing like being there as your little one grows. Who knew leaving your baby could be sooo difficult? =) I have never regretted staying home...it is wonderful!

I can't wait to meet him. And no time doesn't slow down, especially now that you are a mom. I still think it's insane that trev is two and I am pregnant again!
