Announcement

A BIG thank you to my good friend, Monday! She made this adorable announcement which I was able to send out to family, friends and co-workers. It has been so fun to hear all the feedback about our adorable boy. Monday was very patient in making this... I was terribly picky and made her change it 5 times. Thank you, Monday!!! :) :) :)

So bummer news about Mateo - they still found a bit of infection in his blood test, so he has extended his stay in NICU until Thursday. It was a bummer, but we had prepared ourselves for this. We mostly want our boy to come home healthy, so we will be patient until he can do that. In the meantime - we decided to focus on breastfeeding before he comes home. It took 2 nurses to help me last night, but he was able to latch on!!! Both breasts - this is a huge accomplishment considering he is already bottle feeding and might be confused about the different nipples. I'll be spending a lot of time with him today to see if we can get it to continue. Yay Mateo! My little champ.

Also, I understand his plush stay at the NICU is paying off - he's now up to 9lbs 1oz! He is already out of newborn diapers. I'm going to have to change his clothes multiple times a day after he comes home to get him to wear all his 0-3 size before he grows out of them!!
