Brittany Visit!

Instead of my annual Spokane trip, Spokane came to me this year! Brittany came to visit for a week and we had a lot of fun. It's fun to play tourist in your hometown sometimes.

Day 1 - Ventura County Fair
It was Zack's Birthday, so I took all 3 kids to the Fair. Zack and Brittany went on some rides...

Stacie really wanted to win something, so she played a dart game and right away hit one of the winning stars! She won a big stuffed penguin. She named him Couscous.

Can't go to the Fair without *smelling* some animals... these baby pigs were so cute!

Since Zack was 18 today, I bought him his very first lotto ticket. He was *this close* to winning $6 whole dollars!

Day 2 - Camarillo Outlet Mall & Ventura Harbor - We did a lot of shopping and walking and ate lunch at Brophy Brothers on the Harbor. It was really nice - I totally wore Brittany out and she was ready to get in her jammies and watch movies when we got home that afternoon.

Day 3 - Santa Barbara Fiesta

We drove up to Santa Barbara in the morning, and went to the clock tower to take some pictures. Santa Barbara is such a beautiful place, even in the fog ;)

We went shopping up and down State Street while we waited for the parade to start. We found the BIGGEST jewelry store we had ever seen! Had to take a picture...

Brittany claims she doesn't like Mexican Food, but we went to De La Guerra Plaza and she got to try her first tamale and said she liked it! She got a churro too... we met up with my friends Lauri and Suzy. Lauri snuck up behind Brittany while she was watching the parade and smashed her with a confetti egg... Viva La Fiesta! :)

We had Stacie back that night, so we had a little Pedicure Party while we watched Count of Monte Cristo. Our toes were so pretty!

Day 4 - Quinceañera - I'll post more about this and post pics above

Day 5 - After church, we took the girls to the Beach - not far from Faria Beach in Ventura County. The girls decided to dig their own "pool" and caught a few sand crabs. It was a beautiful afternoon and we had a great time.

Day 6 - Stacie and I took Brittany up to the Cross / Grant Park in Ventura to see the view of the city. It's really pretty up there.

Brittany wanted to go for a drive, so we took her up to Ojai. We got ice cream and walked through the park.

Day 7 - I took the girls to Marina Park for a Beach Picnic. It was a gorgeous day - so much so that I got a bit sunburned. I drove Brittany to the airport that night. We took PCH so she could see Malibu and how beautiful the coast is in that area. She really enjoyed it and even saw some dolphins. We LOVED having Brittany visit - always nice to see our Galloway Family - we would love to have her visit again!
