Baby has a strong heartbeat!

I had an appointment last Thursday, 1/31. Everything looks great and so far I've had a really smooth pregnancy. I hope it continues the rest of the way like this! Doctor said I've lost a pound in the last month, but I think it's that last time I was in a sweater and jeans. This time I wore a light skirt and top. I've gained 6 pounds so far. Not bad since I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow. I feel like I've had more energy, and have done a lot of housework the past few weekends. Rafael got the crib returned from his niece, and he's going to be sanding and refinishing it. It's so cute - it's the crib that both Zack and Stacie used. It will be really nice, perfect for little Bubby. I've made it to letter "D" of the girls names in the big name book. We have a definite boys name picked out, but undecided on a girls name. We have a few names that we like. Will be fun to find out which direction we are headed.... next week!!!

So at the appointment, doctor pulled out the heart monitor. Since I didn't hear the heartbeat last time, I was really anxious. First try...nothing - move a bit... nothing. Up a bit... I can hear MY heartbeat... up a bit more, and there it is! I was so fast I had to feel my heart and make sure it wasn't mine. Nope! It was wonderful to hear it again. Doctor said it sounded really good. Really made my day.
