Zack's Graduation

Zack's graduation was this past Friday, June 15th. I met Zack when he was only 11, so it's amazing that this time has already come. We are so proud of him and his accomplishment. He is now trying to get a job and is all registered to go to Ventura College in the Fall... just down the street from our house. The Graduation ceremony was nice. Rafael and I, his Abue and Papa and Auntie Sally were there. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and luckily we found seats in the shadow of the press box, so we wouldn't sit in the sun all afternoon. This picture isn't the best quality, but we were pretty far away. Here is Zack receiving his diploma... This is just after the ceremony...
Abue and Papa brought him the hawaiian lei to wear. Zack's Mom made him a lei out of dollar bills and candy.
A cute picture of Zack and Stacie
On Sunday, we celebrated Zack's graduation with the rest of the family. We had dinner at BJ's Restaurant in Oxnard.
Zack is opening the laptop that he got from Pete, Jen, Mary Ellen and David. He was so excited! It was a very nice gift. Abue and Papa paid for him to go to Grad Night at Disneyland. Rafael and I gave him a nice watch. His Mom gave him a digital camera and he got a portable DVD player from his Aunt and Uncle. The rest of the family gave him money, totalling $450!! He made out like a bandit.
We had cake back at Abue and Papas. A chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. They decorated it in Zack's school colors - Red and Black. It was delicious!

You do such a fantastic job on your commentary, Pam. This is great. I feel like I was there, without the sun! The pictures are perfect. What a fun graduation he had. I can almost taste the cake, yummy. Zack is such a good looking fellow. Best wishes for a great future for him.
